DICKEY-john SERVICE & CALIBRATION

What our service includes:-

  • Our DICKEY‐john trained service engineer will visit your site, or you may return your instrument to our approved service centre where a loan instrument will be available

  • An extensive internal check & clean of the instrument to remove excessive build-up of dust/dirt & loose grain, which deters rodent damage and helps prevent future mechanical breakdowns

  • A thorough check and analysis of the balance, grain cell impedance test and infra-red temperature accuracy, ensuring optimum performance and reliable results

  • Missing or broken (non-vital) parts will be replaced as part of the service cost

  • Grain calibrations will be update to the latest, UK derived calibrations

  • A calibration certificate will be issued which shows the instruments performance and includes Hectolitre Weight Standard ISO 7971 Part 3 compliance results

  • Should you suffer a breakdown at any time during the year, we can arrange loan equipment while your instrument is being repaired, and we offer subsidised repair rates for out of warranty equipment

  • Technical advice & support during business hours by phone or email

DICKEY-john REPAIRS

The majority of issues or error codes with DICKEY-john grain moisture meters can be resolved by our technical team over the phone. Should a more severe technical problem arise, one of our qualified service engineers will either visit your site or you may return your instrument to our DICKEY-john approved service center. A comprehensive inspection will be conducted, and where applicable, repairs and adjustments will be made.

In the event of a breakdown within one year following our service and calibration, we will provide you with a loan instrument and offer discounted repair rates.

HECTOLITRE WEIGHT CALIBRATION

We offer 2 levels of calibration services to BS EN ISO 7971-2:2019:-

  • Routine Measuring Instruments of any volume that are only used for determination of hectolitre weight for trading purposes without the ability to produce calibration/control sample sets require our first level of calibration annually. Simply return your instrument to us and we will use our calibration samples traceable to the National Standard Instrument to verify or adjust your apparatus. We will then return it to you complete with a Test Report and Traceability Labels.

  • Secondary or Internal Standard Instruments of volume equal to or greater than 0.75l that produce hectolitre weight calibration/control sample sets used to verify routine measuring instruments must be calibrated every two years through traceability to a certified national or international standard instrument. Again, return your instrument to our laboratory for calibration. Each calibrated instrument will carry a Traceability Label and be provided with a Secondary Standard Conformity Certificate and all data relative to the traceability operation. Monitoring of instrument performance in accordance with section 8 of the standard (BS EN ISO 7971-2:2019) is the responsibility of the instrument operator between calibrations.
